What happened

Result: Not approved at the annual meeting of 6 June 2024, as Proposal 8: 19,594,296 votes for, 370,414,376 against, 6,442,648 withheld and 6,103,747 broker non-votes, as certified in Restaurant Brands International's Item 5.07 Form 8-K. That is 5.0 percent of the shares voted for and against, or 4.9 percent if withheld votes are counted in the base.

Not approved. The board opposed the proposal on the ground that publishing detailed indicator criteria and compliance data at what it called an early stage of the broiler welfare programme could damage its ability to enroll suppliers, while stating in the same answer that the company collects fifteen indicators across seven welfare principles.
