What happened
Result: Voted on as Proposal 9 at the annual meeting of 1 June 2022 and not approved: 134,699,006 votes for, 466,991,436 against, 2,089,507 abstaining and 30,350,444 broker non-votes, which is 22.4% of the votes cast for and against. Alphabet's dual-class structure gives insiders ten votes per share. Open MIC calculates that once current Alphabet directors and officers are removed, 64.3% of the remaining shareholders voted in favour.
We found no racial equity audit by Alphabet, and no change that any source we opened attributes to this vote.
