Cease producing, developing or financing weapons prohibited under international law, including nuclear weapons; immediately suspend weapons sales, transfers and related contracts connected to the Israel/Gaza conflict and similar conflicts where there is a credible risk of contributing to violations of international humanitarian law; adopt and publicly disclose policies aligned with the UN Guiding Principles, with heightened human rights due diligence in conflict-affected and high-risk areas; and run independent due diligence processes not solely reliant on US government export licensing, with end-use monitoring and transparent reporting.

What happened

Result: Letters signed by 52 investors representing over USD 145 billion in assets under management or advisement went to the boards of the five companies on 2 July 2026, seeking a meeting and a reply by 20 July 2026.

RTX, Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin replied, and none of them agreed to the request for a meeting with their boards. General Dynamics replied on 4 August 2026, calling the demands a matter of ordinary business operations and not the basis of constructive shareholder engagement. Boeing did not respond.
