  • Climate Action 100+ investor signatories at ExxonMobil on emissions targets and transition disclosure
Climate Action 100+ · ExxonMobil · 2025 · Not settled for 2025. Climate Action 100+'s company assessment page for ExxonMobil refuses every request and the Internet Archive returns the same refusal, and the benchmark's own downloadable data for the 2024 and 2025 rounds is refused by the same server, so the June 2025 findings this row asserted cannot be evidenced. What is documented: Majority Action's exempt solicitation filed with the SEC on May 10, 2023 applies the Climate Action 100+ Net Zero Company Benchmark to ExxonMobil and records that the company's medium and short-term emissions expectations are not treated as commitments under the benchmark, that its medium-term target excludes the most relevant Scope 3 emissions, that none of its interim targets are aligned to 1.5 degrees, and that it has met none of the disclosure indicators for capital allocation.

Organizations working on this

Backcountry Hunters and Anglers

A mass membership organization of hunters and anglers focused on conserving public lands.

Ducks Unlimited

A volunteer-driven waterfowl group that raises money locally to buy, restore and manage wetlands across North America.

Green Century Capital Management

Files shareholder resolutions in its own name. It has filed at 6 companies, among them Amazon and Procter & Gamble between 2020 and 2025.

Natural Resources Defense Council

Campaigns on shareholder votes, for example a press release headed 'P&G Board Members Face Shareholder Vote Over Forest Destruction in Supply Chain', and appears in a notice of exempt solicitation filed with the SEC.

Oceana

Not a filer, and the distinction matters here. The Amazon plastic packaging resolution was filed by As You Sow and Green Century and presented by As You Sow. Oceana ran the outside campaign for it, publicly calling on Amazon shareholders to vote yes and supplying the underlying evidence through its December 2020 report on the scale of Amazon's plastic problem. The resolution drew 35.5 per cent support. This is a vote-yes campaign on another organization's resolution, not filing, co-filing, proxy voting guidance or an investor coalition.

The Last Beach Cleanup

Shareholder filing carried out by its founder in her own name rather than by the organization. Jan Dell, who has held Kraft Heinz stock for more than twenty years, filed a shareholder proposal at Kraft Heinz for 2024 and again for 2025 asking the board to report on the factual basis for the legitimacy of the recyclable claims made on its plastic packaging, measured against the FTC Green Guides and California law. The organization's site also lists a Mondelez initiative.

Trout Unlimited

An angler-led group that restores cold-water rivers and streams so wild trout and salmon can survive in them.
